Four houses, four saints
Every boy is placed in a house on arrival and stays for life. The names honour four patron saints; the colours have been fought over on this campus for seventy years.
Andreans
Blue · St Andrew
Named for St Andrew and wearing saltire blue. Andreans own the long distances: the St Patrick's Day cross-country marathon has been their race to lose.

Davidians
Yellow · St David
Named for St David and wearing gold-yellow. Davidians have made the Inter-house Standards their own in recent years and set the pace at the Form One Camp.

Georgians
Red · St George
Named for St George and carrying his red cross. Georgians bring the fiercest colour on the field to athletics day, standards and the St Patrick's Day cross-country.
Patricians
Green · St Patrick
The house of the College's own patron. St Patrick's is CBC's formal name, and the Patricians wear the emerald of Ireland, where Blessed Edmund Rice founded the Christian Brothers in 1802.

Form One Camp
New boys are welcomed into College life through rugby, soccer, cross-country and basketball, a quiz and a treasure hunt, house against house. Davidians took the 2021 title.
Term 1
Inter-house Athletics
The four houses contest the Parents' Guild Shield on the 400-metre track: the loudest day of the school year.

St Patrick's Day Cross-Country
The whole school runs the College trail in the house marathon that marks our patron's day. Andreans are the reigning recorded champions.
