Rhodes Scholar, 2020
Andile Maqhawe Dube
Class of 2013
A final-year medical student at NUST when he won the Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford, Andile was an Honours prefect at CBC, active in debate, tennis, squash and music. He credits the College's debate programme, under Mrs C Mashazhu, as his greatest, most life-changing experience at school.
Mandela-Rhodes Scholar
Bakani Ncube
One of two CBC old boys awarded the Mandela-Rhodes Scholarship, following the same path of academic distinction and service.
National-record swimmer, NCAA finalist
Denilson Cyprianos
Head Boy, 2020
Broke a Zimbabwean 200m backstroke record that had stood since 2003, qualified for the World Youth Championships in Budapest, and went on to place 7th in the NCAA Division II 200m backstroke for Carson-Newman University.
Mandela-Rhodes Scholar
Hanani Hlomani
One of two CBC old boys awarded the Mandela-Rhodes Scholarship, the pan-African postgraduate award founded in partnership with Nelson Mandela.

Larian Nkomo
Class of 2010
A former Eagles goalkeeper who went on to a Masters and PhD candidature in Management Information Systems, and returned to address the school at assembly.
US soccer scholarship
Shaun Matika
Eagles captain, 2019
Promoted into the first team at fifteen, named CHISZ Player of the Tournament as captain in 2019, then awarded a four-year full soccer scholarship to Bethel University, Indianapolis, where he read Computer Science.

Charles Coventry
The Zimbabwean batsman's unbeaten 194 against Bangladesh in 2009 equalled and held the world record for the highest individual One Day International innings until 2010.
