Faith at CBC is not a subject; it is the school's operating system. It shows up as prayer in the morning and service in the afternoon.

How faith is lived here
Morning prayers
Every class begins the day with prayer, before the first lesson.
Mass
All pupils and staff attend Mass. Term 2 opens with the Feast of Blessed Edmund Rice. Catholic pupils receive instruction in doctrine; every boy's background and beliefs are respected.
Lower Sixth service
Every Lower Sixth boy performs community service: supporting junior pupils, sports groups and service organisations, and reaching beyond the gates with winter blanket and food drives.
The Brothers' feeding scheme
The Christian Brothers in Bulawayo feed nearly 2,000 underprivileged children daily, and the College community supports the work.
In practice
Service, recently
The Young Leaders' Society has partnered with the Healing with Horses Therapeutic Centre and the King George VI children's centre, delivering mealie-meal and sugar at Christmas. Winter drives collect blankets, clothing and food for the homeless. And boys serve civically too: in 2022 Jewel Damunesa was elected Junior Mayor of Bulawayo, with Shivam Jadavji a Junior Councillor beside him.
